Bill McBride, whose posts I follow regularly, published this article regarding the next Fed Chair appointment.

Dr. Yellen was my graduate school economics professor, so I am certainly biased.  She’s a brilliant woman and an excellent teacher.  Considering that a big part of the job is communicating esoteric economics concepts to the public, I think teaching is an important qualification.  If she is appointed, I think she will do a great job.
